RECOUNT FOR WOWMATRIX MOD
My mom plays WoW, and guess what? I have to spend my time finding updates for her because it's a lot of work chasing down mod updates now.
RECOUNT FOR WOWMATRIX MODS
I absolutely cannot fathom why mod authors talk about how abused they are (supposedly) by WM but at the same time allow sites like Curse to do such a ^&*!-poor job of distributing their mods to the user base (for whom a lot of mod authors seem to hold a HELL of a lot of disdain, as if the grubby masses aren't WORTHY of sullying their mods by actually USING them). I appreciate the arguments against WoWmatrix, but by the same token I fail to understand why nobody is able to come up with something even a tenth as good, but spend an AWFUL lot of effort bashing a product that for all its flaws actually DID WHAT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO.

UICentral on the other hand had some development snafu (something about a snippet of code that was copyrighted or somesuch) that caused them to yank it and it's been M.I.A. The move of all the Ace mods to Curse has had me seriously contemplating if I want to continue using them, as I truly think Curse is one of the most ass-backwards sites out there, and their updater client was bloody AWFUL, to the point I had to actually torch my entire UI folder and start from scratch because it kept updating with wrong versions, adding mods that were part of completely random mod packs, and installing multiple versions of the same mod in some instances!
RECOUNT FOR WOWMATRIX UPDATE
Post by to using WoWmatrix, I used two different clients to update my mods, WoWAceUpdater (WAU) and UICentral from WoWUI.

RECOUNT FOR WOWMATRIX PATCH
If you spend 2-3 hours updating your addons on patch day you're doing something wrong.

If you are still unsure of the history of the situation, i suggest that you read the following :

Wowmatrix has some advertisements, yeah, WoWi probably runs from supporters. I do want to know what updater is doing it's job and nothing else. I am among the people that do run a ton of addons and an updater can save alot of time that I'd spend on sites otherwise. recount etc.) many are looking for an updater that can handle this MESS of, in many cases even far more, 200+ folders for 40+ addons most of us are running. Since the WoWi updater doesn't feature all addons some people need (e.g. Where will you get into those reasons if not here, in a thread that is about WoWmatrix? If you have "various reasons" that protect you from harm, then please share them with others so that they can make a solid decision. So are they to be trusted or not? Your statement is more then vague. But I don't use it for various reasons that I won't get into here. There are some people who use it and like it that I have seen around here and there.
